Instructor: Daniel Q. Estep, Ph.D., CAAB & Suzanne Hetts, Ph.D., CAAB
Many expectant parents are concerned with how their first
baby will get along with their new human baby. The
secret is preparation. But where do expectant parents
get this preparation? Dog trainers, veterinarians, veterinary
staff, animal behavior consultants and other pet professionals
are uniquely positioned to offer this preparation.
In this class we’ll talk about what pet parents
need to know and how you can offer classes to help them.
We’ll talk about getting sponsors for your classes
such as hospitals, baby stores, and animal shelters and
where to hold the classes. We’ll also talk about
advertizing and charging for your classes.
Drs. Hetts and Estep have been teaching Introducing Dog
to Your New Baby classes for over 6 years in the Denver
metro area and they will share their experiences and secrets
with you.
We recommend adding Pia Silvani’s class “Helping
Kids and Dogs Get Along Together” on
March 20 th to make a complete package of knowing how
to help parents of infants to adolescents live safely
and humanely with the dogs in their family. Register
for both classes and receive a 10% discount!
The course comes with class notes and recommended readings.
This class is approved for 1.5 CEUs from CCPDT and CACVT.
You must attend either the teleclass or webcast LIVE to
be eligible for CEUs. You cannot receive CEUs for listening
to the replay.
To ensure optimal class participation, class size requires a minimum
